?It’s OUT TODAY! Happy Book Birthday to THE PROUDEST BLUE! It is written beautifully by Olympic medalist @ibtihajmuhammad with @skalibooks and illustrated by myself. This is a sweet, heartening book that holds great value on taking a strong stance on who you are and to be proud of oneself. An important book I am delighted to be part of making it. ?
You can find it in bookstores today! congrats and many thanks to everyone who helped to make this book.???
It’s pretty sunny and leafy with birds all over outside!..

Hey, Unicorn Rescue Society: The Card Game is 81% funded!! yay! we’re getting so close from a full 100%!
If you don’t know about the game:
The game is based on the hit kid’s book series The Unicorn Rescue society series Created by Adam Gidwitz , Jesse Casey & Chris Lenox Smith with other contributors in each book like Joe Bruchac, David Bowles, Hena Khan, and Emma Otheguy (–and more amazing talents in the future!) All the books are illustrated by me.
The game itself is a fast-paced card game about rescuing mythical creatures. It is for 2-8 players and takes about 10 minutes to play! I think that makes it enjoyable to younger kids. AND IT SHIPS INTERNATIONALLY!
If you have kids that are 5 and up or know some friends who do let them know about it! It is also great for teachers and librarians.
Hey! How about a Card Game meets Kidlit?
Behold Unicorn Rescue Society: The Card Game. It is fun and I get to draw some fantastic creatures! If you are interested or curious then consider backing it on Kickstarter. The card game is kid-friendly and many children have tried it -thanks to the super talented Adam Gidwitz on his school visits- and enjoyed it!

The fundraising will help me get paid and will cover the expenses of this game to make it available as soon as possible. Have a look at the Kickstarter link and consider backing it and/or spreading the word if you like it!
We are 65% funded already so getting there!
P.S. Here are some illustrations from the books:
Yay! I can now share these 2 all-new paperback edition cover art of the first 2 books in the Unicorn Resue Society series. Not only you’ll see new covers but you will also find new bonus stories! They’ll be about The Secret Order of the Unicorn, a medieval predecessor of the modern society! How cool is that! I believe they’ll be out in August 2019. Excited to share with you :D #UnicornRescueSociety #kidlitart
I haven’t been posting much lately but I saw this #faceyourart thing going on and thought I’d join in! These are faces from different projects or books and it made me realize that I need to experiment more with my style :)
